Best Lightweight Foundations to Where When Working From Home

This worldwide pandemic has changed a lot of our lives when it comes to working. Working from home with video chat and conference calls are the new normal which kind of changes up our normal beauty routine. Since we are home a lot more, the efforts in our makeup have changed a bit. Things are a lot more simple and you don’t really need as many products to clean up your look.

Here are some of my favorite lightweight, skin - feeling foundations that are perfect to wear when working from home.

NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer SPF30 $45

This is definitely one of my favorite tinted moisturizers on the market, not only for the coverage, but for the range of shades it provides for women of color. Most brands that provide deeper shades are extremely red undertoned or wash you out gray. This does neither. On top of it being a tinted moisturizer, it provides pretty good coverage that allows your skin to breath and stay radiant and natural.

Pro Tip: For a flawless application, apply with fingers. The warmth of the fingers provides an even complexion with healthy radiant skin. Add concealer for additional coverage.

Origins Pretty in Bloom Flower Infused Longwear Foundation SPF20 $38

This foundation is newer on the market but is coming for some brands necks! This foundation leaves your skin looking radiant, natural and gorgeous. Ummmm, did I mention that it feels soft soft on the skin like nothing is even there??? Perfect for being at home and looking hydrated and cleaned up for those video conference calls, but light and subtle that you forget its even on.

Fenty Pro Filt’r Longwear Hydrating Foundation $35

The Fenty Hydrating Foundation has to be one of my all time favorite foundations that I have used on my clients. No matter how dry (or oily) their skin was, this foundation always came through with giving life to the complexion and skin texture. Very build able coverage and when applied correctly, it leaves your skin with a natural radiance like nothing is even there.

Pro Tip: A little bit of product goes a loooooonngggggg way with this foundation so don’t get too heavy handed because it doesn’t take much product for this bad boy to get to work. For fuller coverage, apply with a foundation brush and for light-medium coverage, use a sponge or buffing brush.

Milk Makeup Flex Foundation Stick $36

If you are a fan of a foundation that has multi-use value then here is your guy. The Milk Makeup Flex Foundation stick is not only a great staple to have in my kit for it’s wide range of shades, but also how it’s great for on the go coverage. Need to just clean up under the eyes and not apply foundation all over the face? Yup you can do it. This creamy natural finish foundation is great being used as a concealer, foundation, and contour.

Pro Tip: Apply with tips of fingers under the eyes and t-zone area of the face. Use a pressed powder to blend the outer areas of the face to create a natural and light weight look.

NARS Sheer Glow Foundation $47

This foundation is a true classic because it literally gives you everything you need with such simplicity. It’s been around for years but I can never seem to shake this one off of my top foundations. We all know that NARS has always been inclusive with the shades, but this formula gives great buildable coverage while still giving a long lasting natural skin look and feel. Don’t let the name fool you, build your coverage to your liking and watch how beautiful and even your complexion is while blurring out any imperfections in texture.

Pro Tip: Make sure when purchasing this foundation that you spend that extra $6 for the foundation pump for your foundation. It doesn’t come with it and makes it a lot easier to use when a pump is involved.

Which foundation do you think you’re going to give a try to wear at home??
