Curly and Coily folks! The season of wash and go’s are approaching us and we all know how many products we run through just to keep our curls and coils hydrated and tamed. Outside of being a coily haired gal myself, I’m also a professional hairstylist who has some products that I enjoy using on clients that just don’t miss!

Here are a few products I think are essential for you use in your wash and go routine. Products mentioned below have all been good to use on all hair textures.

Scalp Health

Tracee Ellis Ross didn’t miss when she created this scalp serum. Scalp health has been a huge focus in the past few years when it comes to advancing the overall health of those hair strands. I love this not only for my wash and go’s but also for when I am wearing my protective styles.

Co-Washing

Conditioning washes are something that you will run through like crazy during your wash and go season. This is one of my favorite brands to use on my curls and my clients. Not only does it deliver in the hydration dept, but it also smells sooooooo good!

Clarifying Shampoo

Clarifying shampoos are very essential to have in your hair care routine to help break down all of the build up from products and regular dirt and grime. A good cleanse one or twice a month is essential for a good clarifying cleanse.

Hair Treatments

Treatments are essential for boosting that extra bit of moisture to your curls and coils. You can customize your treatments to your liking, but adding a deep treatment 2x a month will keep your hair hydrated and full of life. I love this treatment because it’s quick and easy and tackles a lot of hair concerns.

Leave-in Conditioners

THIS LEAVE IN RIGHT HERRRRREEE!!!?? Boy I tell you this stuff smells like granny’s sweet potato pie freshly baked on a Sunday after church. It also works extremely well with all textures!

Hair Gel

In order to lock in that definition for those curls and coils, you’ll really need to use a good quality non-flaky or drying hair gel. This Curlsmith gel is amazing because it moisturizes and defines your hair exactly how you need it you without all of the extra hassle.

Styling Balm

I love a good styling balm for curls and coils because it not only hydrates the hair, but it creates a protective barrier giving your hair more moisture and protection.
