Sushi Yoshi Steak Stone & Seafood House
I had been craving some good sushi after going to a social event a few weeks back that had some BOMB spicy tuna rolls. After that, I was on the hunt for some good old sushi. I called up a close friend and we met for lunch and stumbled across this place after struggling to find a decent lunch in inner city Toledo. There needs to be a conversation about the lack of options for a good lunch that’s not downtown, or in the burbs somewhere.

Sushi Yoshi Steak Stone & Seafood House
The atmosphere was quiet and low key. After speaking with our server, she mentioned that the chef has been in the profession of sushi for over 20 years! I love to ask my servers what the most popular dishes are when ordering. It allows me to see what people are in high demand of at the business. She let me know that the Yo Yo Maki roll was on heavy demand, so I had to tried it!
YoYo Maki Roll
Spicy tuna, crab meat, cucumber, avocado and cream cheese that’s deep fried, topped with eel and sweet chili sauce, scallion and fish egg.
This roll was not only tasty, but it was hefty and filling! Most people don’t like sushi because they’re typically hungry and hour later after eating it. Not this roll. I see why this roll is popular. It’s dense and packed with flavor and are actually pretty large. The roll comes with a total of 10, but I had to slow it down with these by 2.5 roll!
Hibachi Steak & Scallop
It’s been a while since I’ve had some Hibachi, and we all know Toledo only has a hand full of them in general. As simple as this meal looks, it was PACKED with flavor. Possible some of the best grilled Hibachi veggies I’ve ever had in my life. I have no clue what that chef did, but my oh my were these vegetables the star of he show. The fried rice was perfect. Not too bland and not too salty. For $30 my only thing I wished was that they served more than 2 scallops with the meal.
Final Thoughts:
I found my new go-to spot for some good sushi! They said that they’re the most popular for take-out and I’m just gonna have to try that out soon! I highly recommend you give it a try.
Xoxo,
