Trans-Siberian Orchestra Winter Tour- The Lost Christmas Eve

This past weekend I was honored to attend the Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s Winter Tour- The Lost Christmas Eve at the Huntington Center in Downtown Toledo. My mind was BLOWN AWAY with how great this show was. The story-telling was heartfelt and along with the singing and the orchestra. The combination drew you all the way in for the overall show.

For those who aren’t too familiar with the band, they are famous for their instrumental “Christmas Eve/Sarajevo” in the holiday movie Home Alone. Once you hear it, you’ll know exactly who they are!

The Opening

The moment the lights went down and the show lights came on, you were completely entertained and mesmerized.

The Show Breakdown

I will be honest, the show is quite lengthy. It averages about 2.5 hours long, so if the tour is coming to your town, try the first show. Typically the Winter Tour has two shows back to back in each city at 3pm (or 2:30) and 7:30pm (or 8pm) in most cases. If you know that you get pretty sleepy by 8-9pm, please do the first show!

The entire show features the orchestra, but the first half is really dedicated to the singing portions as well as story-telling. The second half is all about the band, which was my favorite! I went to the 3pm show at the Huntington Center and we were walking out the door around 5:30pm if that allows you to plan in advance.

There were lights, fire and tons of entertainment! I was blown away the entire show screaming like someone at a Michael Jackson concert in 1992. It was that serious!
