Traditional Nestle Chocolate Chip Cookies

I know the holidays are all about baking from scratch, which I know can be intimidating for some. I promise you the right recipe will get you together!

That’s why I wanted to share this easy and traditional @nestletollhouse chocolate chip cookie. 🍪

A soft and chewy cookie 🍪 balanced with the right amount of chocolate morsels with just enough crunch on the edges to give you balance.

Here’s the recipe:

- 1/2 Cup Granulated Sugar

- 3/4 Brown Sugar

- 1 teaspoon Salt

- 1/2 Cup Butter Melted

- 1 Egg

- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

- 1 1/4 All-Purpose Flour Sifted

- 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda

- 4oz @nestletollhouse Semi-Sweet Morsels

- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions:

1. Combine sugars, butter, egg and vanilla extract and mix on medium speed with a hand mixer until fluffy.

2. Slowly add in baking soda, salt and slowly add in flour. Mix on low speed until dough forms.

3. Wrap dough in plastic wrap and chill in refrigerator for 20-30 minutes. Try 1 hour for a good firm dough.

4. Make 1.5 inch scoops and bake on a non - stick baking sheet (lined with parchment paper is my favorite) and bake at 350° for 12-15 minutes until golden brown on edges.

5. Let cool for 20-30 minutes on cooling rack before storing.

I hope you enjoy! Happy Baking!

Xoxo,
