Restaurant Week Toledo
This was my first restaurant week Toledo and I must say I loved every bit of it! Since I’ve moved back home, I haven’t really been able to fully be out and about and enjoy all the things that I want after having my babies. However, this year I was ready!
Restaurant Week Toledo is an opportunity to enjoy delicious meals at special prices from dozens of the Glass City’s best locally owned restaurants while supporting Leadership Toledo’s tuition-free youth programs.
All proceeds will be donated to Leadership Toledo’s high-impact programs designed to cultivate and empower aspiring young leaders.
Now that I am back in the Toledo area, I wanted to participate in this event not only because I’m a huge foodie, but because it’s very important to invest in my community. Toledo is my hometown and the town that raised me and I want nothing but the best for the upcoming youth to continue to make Toledo, a.k.a. the Glass City amazing!

THE Bread Pudding!!
This restaurant was beautiful and romantic. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious from the appetizers to the desert. It’s made with a vanilla brandy sauce that is drizzles alllllll over and topped with fresh fruit.
Buuuttt this bread pudding with a side of the salted caramel gelato touched my soul!!! I actually visited here 2x, and once was just because I needed a pit stop just to have this bread pudding again lol. Souk, you’ve got a friend in me!
Rosie’s Italian Grille

Shrimp & Lobster Pasta
Although I am not new to Rosie’s, I am very much new to this shrimp and lobster pasta made with a zesty cream sauce that punches your taste buds with a kick. I am not the biggest fan of spicier foods, but I just couldn’t stop at one bite. The chunks of the shrimp were HUGE and was also equally proportioned with the lobster which is a very rare care when ordering out with seafood.

Holy Onion Rings!
Charlie’s Homemade Ice Cream & Burgers is one of those classic burger joints that values the quality and taste of homemade food and ice cream. As a Midwest girl I value a good burger and ice cream combo and this place holds on to those food values. The onion rings were ginormous and PACKED with flavor with every bite. Eating a basket of those with a jr cup of ice cream and a little slider is a meal that can satisfy any belly.

A Latte Better with Coffee…
SIP Coffee has the aesthetic of the ultimate coffee shop and perfect lattes down packed. It’s just up the street from UT’s campus so expect a busy crowd, but also expect a bomb latte whether you’re on the go or dining in.

Soup Baby Soup!
I visited this hidden gem mid week on a lunch date and the food was amazing, but I could not stop coming back to this soup and flatbread! It was the soup of the day and was some type of red pepper and tomato cream soup that had me ready to drink it like it was water. The bread melted in your mouth and the combo was beyond sensational.
Maddie and Bella Coffee Roasters

Orion’s Belt
So i visited Maddie and Bella’s for a Coffee Date and I was so impressed with this concoction of caffeine. I thought that I was doing it pretty big with trying out a Cortado because I am currently stepping my game up in the espresso dept, yeah no lol. My fellow blogging buddy got this Orion’s Belt which was roasted and poured right before our eyes and I was beyond mesmerized. Also, we aren’t going to dismiss this bomb coffee cake that I had with my Cortado that was a great morning combo.

Macaron Mama!
I will be totally honest and admit that it was extremely hard just trying to pick six flavors for my half dozen of macarons over at So Sweet Pastries. It’s been years since I have made or tasted a macaron, and let’s just say it hit the spot. A flavorful packed soft meringue cookie that melts in your mouth with every bite. I was kind of salty I had to share these lol.

It’s the Simple Things…
Okay, so initially I was pretty hyped to try this place for their chicken and waffles, and don’t get me wrong, they were beyong goood!!! That maple waffle was something special.
The surprise factor for me in all of this was the fries!!!!! I didn’t even order them myself, they were offered me to try, next thing I know I’m ordering them to take home for later before finishing my waffles. Seasoned to perfection, nice and crunchy & crispy on the outside and soft and tender on the inside.

A Vibe and a Gem
So I have actually had Rosaria’s several times for takeout and I have always known they made good food, but I have never been to the physical restaurant to dine in until this past week. The decor and service was TOP TIER! They never disappoint with their fettucine alfredo with grilled chicken on the side. It’s a vibe, romantic and overall a place I will dine in more often!

Melt in Your Mouth Bagel
Brew Coffee Bar in located right in the heart of UT’s campus across from Rocket Hall. They had me at $1 americanos! The ham and cheese bagel was included in the special menu for Restaurant Week Toledo and I was shocked with my first bite. I’m used to bagels being just soft enough to enjoy, but still firm in some ways. This bagel was so soft and tender! It tasted like it was fresh out of the oven! I must say I was very impressed and cant wait to come back and have this bagel again.

A Healthy Foodie Essential
I’m not new to Local Roots Juice Co. and I have made several pit stops here because they understand the vibes of quality juices and smoothies. This Mango Lassi smoothie on the special menu and was a new try for me and it made me feel like I was sitting on a beach in Jamaica!! Clearly I need a vacation (lol) buuutttt this was pretty close flavor wise.
