5 Summer Fun Activities in Toledo for CHEAP!
Summer is here and as we all know post-pandemic , life is just beyond expensive! I don’t want you to get discourage though, because I found a list of summer fun and affordable things and ideas to do here in the city to have a little fun on a budget!
I’m not even gonna hold you, let’s just go ahead and get right into it!
Summer Movie Clubhouse $1.75 Shows at Rave Cinemas - Franklin Park Mall
This is for the kids when you are looking to beat the heat and get some AC and/or just get the kids out the house without spending tons of cash. This is going on from June 10th- August 15th with $1.75 movies (per movie) that also has $1 off snack deals. for more info, click here .
2. Kids Bowl Free ALL SUMMER LONG!
Who Doesn’t love a good bowling session!? I saw an ad for this and thought it was a scam, but it’s not! Turns out all you do is register your kids and take them to qualifying bowling alleys, All Strikes Lanes or Forest View Lanes and they will be able to bowl up to 2 FREE games a day all summer long for more info and locations click here .
3. Glass City Metropark
I love how there are just layers of enjoyment at the entire Glass City Metropark! Take the kids to the splashpad to cool off on a hot day, go roller skating, take a book and read and chill and have a lunch from The Garedn, or simply just walk the river walk. You name it! 4. Summer Movie Series with $1 Admission - Maumee Indoor Theatre
I’m really excited to try this locations summer movie series out because its inclusive for adults and the kiddos! You have the Tuesday Teen Throwbacks where they show throwback teen movies from the 80’s and 90’s at 7pm.
Remember the joy of having cartoons on a Saturday morning? Maumee Indoor Theatre will have the Saturday Morning Cartoons at 10am which features as a part of the Summer Series. You can enjoy throwback cartoon movies to take the kids and get out the house and enjoy some AC to beat the heat. This summer series will be going on from June 1st until August 20th. 5. The Toledo Library
I love a good library! Quiet, peaceful and can be utilized in so many ways! You can head downtown and enjoy a reading date on the rooftop, find a book club in your age group at your local branch.
