Comfortable & Casual Postpartum Mommy Day Wear
It’s been 6 months since God blessed me with my first child and I am still in the phases with adjusting to my new body. Especially since I have been nursing this entire time, your body just doesn’t completely feels like it’s yours so feeling good and comfortable in your own skin can be pretty tough. Honestly, finally being able to wear clothes besides my husbands t-shirts and sweats due to quarantine is a great start for me.
I initially come from the itty bitty titty committee pre baby, but now I have MONDO boobs that seems like it takes over my entire chest. I’m still learning adjusting to my new body like most new moms, it’s so foreign but I am getting a lot better.
I had a brunch date with my best friend of 20 years which felt good to get out the house without a little human glued to my boobs and I wanted to feel cute and comfortable while meeting the girls. It’s like you want to keep a part of yourself and your fashion choices pre baby, but still gotta accept the woman God had shaped and molded into you being present day.
My vibes before baby have always been simplistic and chic, never been a huge fan of patterns and defiantly not a fan of them now. I just never felt patterns complimented my body so solids have been my go-to’s. It’s timeless and you’re able to mix and match your pieces without getting caught up in trends and needing to shop every season, because as new moms when do we ever really have time to shop for ourselves???
I paired this over sized black blazer from JLuxlabel (my absolute #1 favorite online boutique) and this all white basic crop top and boyfriend cut jeans from FashionNova (My #2 favorite online boutique) to keep it cute, comfy and classy. My loafers I purchased from Zara about a year ago on sale for $20! And of course can’t forget these adorable sunglasses from Forever 21.
I am confidently embracing my my mommy pudge and throwing up the middle finger to any and everyone who has an issue with it. It’s been a long time coming growing comfortable with my new body. The 4th trimester is tough, so is breast-feeding, being a wife, dog mom, and just a bomb ass boss b*tch!
Y’all gone enjoy this pudge and fupa as I flip my hair, moisturizer and mind my business. ✌🏾
