Halloween Themed Bar: The Spooky Coop at Orchard Catawba Island

It’s always a good time when I take a quick trip to Catawba Island to Orchard Farm Stand and visit the current themed bar for the season. I remember my first time visiting was for the Valentine’s Day pop-up bar and I instantly fell in love. Since then I told myself that I was going to try to make it all of the other themed pop ups they had this year, so here we are!

They had such cute decor and activities for photo ops that surrounded The Coop. Of course of all days I would choose to wear all white AF1’S on the muddiest of days after raining all day, but I still managed to keep them clean for the pics!

Presentation is Key. It’s all about the details!

When I mean to tell you they went ALL OUT for Halloween, they did not come to play! Every square inch of this part of the farm was decked out in Halloween decor! Although I typically love coming here for a date night, they had tons of activities for family fun.

Yes, they really have a vineyard on-site as well!

Now Let’s Get into The Spooky Coop

Outside of it being a themed bar, The Coop is a stand alone bar on the farm that gets decorated for all types of fun themes throughout the year. Here’s a look inside o the Halloween theme this year.

So Let’s Get Into These Drinks…

This is the Halloween themed menu from the Spooky Coop and I must day it did NOT disappoint! I’m not the biggest drinker, but I’ll have a cocktail or two socially. The menu was so fun and creative that it made it so hard to not want to get them all!!!

The Frankenstein

Nolet's Silver Gin, Caramelized Pineapple, Green Melon Liqueur, Polyjuice Potion Float.

When I go for a drink, my go-to is typically a bourbon or whiskey orrrrrr I’ll do a tequila because i despised vodka. Gin is never even an option because of how overpowering it can be, but I really wanted to be open-minded and give this drink a chance. When I mean to tell you that not only was this drink delicious, but it was so flavorful and you couldn’t even taste the gin!!!! Now that’s a drink that’ll sneak up on you!

I was so shocked at how well the flavors of this drink paired together and was so tasty!

S’mores Old Fashioned

Buffalo Trace, House-made Toasted Marshmallow Simple Syrup, Chocolate Bitters, Graham Cracker Rim.

So my good friend and taste bud got the s’mores old fashioned because that’s her go-to drink of choice anywhere. I didn’t get to try this drink personally, but it was so fun and exciting watching the bartender make this drink!

Vampire’s Revenge

Ron Zacapa Aged Rum, Bacardi Silver, Blood Orange and Raspberry, Champagne Topper.

A lady that was hanging out at the bar next to us got this drink and was sweet enough to allow us to capture some pics of it to share. When we asked her thoughts on it, she said she highly recommended giving it a try!

I must say that this trip was so worth it! I didn’t even get to share the food that we had from the Bar and Table (I promise I’ll share in another post), but overall I had a ball and I can’t wait until the Christmas pop up bar! Whether you’re going to hang out with some friends or a nice romantic date night then Orchard Bar and Table is the place for you!
